Pooja Gautam - Watsu Practitioner

About the Practitioner
The wellness practitioner Pooja Gautam is a wellness practitioner who specialises in Awareness Through Body and Watsu. After a decade long career in the corporate world, Pooja came across ABT and later Watsu, which deeply influenced her path in life. Pooja has an impressive 700 hours of Watsu and related aquatic bodywork under her belt and has garnered vast experience in catering to a variety of therapeutic needs for all age groups.

About Watsu and Aqua Yoga
Inspired by zen shiatsu, the healing art of Watsu combines massage and movement in a warm water pool. By being fully supported by the water and the practitioner, one can let go and unwind. Through Watsu, many benefit from a release of pain, enhanced range of movement of joints and an induced sound of sleep.

Aqua yoga offers the potential for safely extending stretches in ways which are not possible on the ground.  It offers the benefits of stretch, relaxation and deep breathing with buoyancy and water resistance. Aqua yoga also remains accessible to all irrespective of age, fitness, previous experience of yoga and swimming competence.

In Residence
While being in residence at Vana, Pooja will be working together with Vana's specialists and practitioners to integrate this unique offering of Watsu with our existing wellness offerings. Our wellness doctors will have Watsu sessions included in one's wellness itinerary when and where found most needed and effective. Pooja will also be conducting group Aqua Yoga classes throughout the weeks.
