After giving up the late nights and starting to diet and exercise (he is a devotee of the paleo diet), he stepped out of the kitchen and, among other things at the property, now runs a ‘new kind of men’s club. No port, no cigars’. Instead, there are 7am weekday meetings for a group of CEO types who cross-fit train, swim in the sea and then convene in Rode’s kitchen for breakfasts of muesli and yogurts, goat’s cheese, salmon and avocado.



4. The Activities & Classes
Kurhotel Skodsborg has plenty of fitness activities and classes for those who want some exercise built into their stay. In fact, you can choose from 150 of them each week including TRX, Yoga, Pilates and the terrifying sounding, but very effective Water CrossFit. For those looking for a more gentle approach to exercise, we recommend taking time to walk or cycle in the 1,000 acres of the king’s hunting forest that sits behind the hotel.
