Hiking For Health
Mount Med Resort , AustriaThe Hiking For Health programme at Mount Med Resort is a clinically informed, results-driven programme designed to elevate your physical and mental wellbeing through the power of guided hiking.
Available over 7 or 10 nights, the programme begins with an orthopaedic evaluation that helps to identify potential limitations in movement and posture and serves as the foundation for your personalised wellness plan.
The hiking paths that have been chosen for this programme have been thoughtfully designed to immerse you in the captivating panorama of the local area, enhancing the mindful hiking experience. At around 1,000 metres above sea level, the local area's mild altitude supports cardiovascular and respiratory function, while providing a gentle training effect. The cooler, cleaner air in the area surrounding Mount Med Resort adds to the physical and mental benefits, particularly for guests arriving from urban or low-altitude areas.
Alongside the hiking, you'll also enjoy a variety of treatments such as massages, cooling post-hike leg wraps and cryotherapy, access to Mount Med’s extensive spa facilities and a personalised meal plan prepared by renowned chef Boris Meyer and his team.
You'll return home feeling fitter and stronger and with a renewed sense of health and wellbeing.
BENEFITS OF THE PROGRAMME:

The aim is to provide a precise diagnosis and to develop a personalised treatment plan. - Orthopaedic diagnostics | ROM Range of motion | Joint status | Physical examination
Joint assessment is a key part of orthopaedic examination, evaluating joint function and health. Active and passive range of motion is tested to identify any pain, swelling or limitations. - Orthopaedic diagnostics | Gait analysis | Treadmill
